DREAM Collaborative provided architectural design services for a new 25,000 sf lab fit-out in the Life Sciences Laboratory building (LSL) at the UMass Amherst Department of Biomedical Engineering. The project provided a state-of-the-art environment with open and collaborative laboratory space for LSL’s interdisciplinary research clusters.
The program included both single and shared office space, providing flexibility and adaptability for changing research needs. Ample conference room space and break-out collaborative space provide more opportunities for interaction and collaboration. The project is pursuing LEED Silver certification.
DREAM worked in collaboration with Elkus Manfredi Architects on the project.
