Healthcare Without Barriers: The Whittier Street Health Center Partnership

Through a multi-year, mission-driven partnership with Whittier Street Health Center, DREAM Collaborative delivered high-impact, community-centered healthcare environments designed to expand access to wellness and clinical care. Our work with the Center focuses on creating equitable spaces that serve as powerful platforms for healthier, more resilient futures for patients, residents, and staff alike.

DREAM transformed this 7,000 SF space into a flexible, holistic wellness center designed for patients, residents, and staff

The 7,000 sf Wellness & Fitness Center created a flexible, multi-use interior fit-out open to patients, residents, and staff — supporting holistic health through fitness training, nutrition counseling, classes, and stress reduction programs. Designed with cost efficiency and quality in mind, DREAM’s approach delivered the project at half the original estimated cost without compromising design or performance.

From onsite labs to primary care, we’ve optimized every square foot of this 2,700 SF facility to support diverse health services under one roof

Taken together, these initiatives serve as a testament to DREAM Collaborative delivery of high-performance, sustainable, and accessible healthcare design. By bridging the gap between technical architectural rigor and a deep empathy for the patient experience, we have transformed these physical environments into vibrant, high-functioning platforms for care.

This facility integrates urgent care, mental health, and dental services into one high-efficiency clinical space designed for the community

Our work at Whittier Street Health Center goes beyond simple renovation; it represents a commitment to architectural stewardship that respects both the client’s fiscal goals and the community’s long-term wellness needs. Whether through the innovative cost-saving strategies of the Wellness Center or the complex clinical integration of the health facility, DREAM continues to push the boundaries of how the built environment can be leveraged to foster more resilient, equitable, and healthy futures for every neighborhood we serve.
