Design Coordinator II

Overview

DREAM Collaborative offers the flexibility to work on design-oriented, mission-driven projects, as well as large, mixed-use commercial projects in the central business district. DREAM has an immediate need for a highly-motivated Design Coordinator II with a keen eye for detail and an exceptional work ethic to add to our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently generate compelling, innovative, relevant design concepts and product research activities for all project types
  • Participate in design activities for multiple projects from concept to development of detailed design ideas to construction documents, including coordination and construction administration
  • Participate in programming, space planning, and selection of interior finishes and furniture
  • Prepare graphics and presentation materials for public approvals, client meetings, and marketing
  • Provide support for any tasks required for the successful completion of the project
  • Work directly with internal project team and consultants to create and deliver design and construction documents for bidding, building permits, and construction
  • Issue consultant request for proposals

Expertise / Experience

  • 5+ years of professional design experience required
  • Bachelor’s in Architecture required, Master’s degree preferred
  • High level of proficiency in Revit Modeling, AutoCAD drafting skills, SketchUp, Adobe CC, and Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Experience with both ground-up and renovation construction projects
  • Solid understanding of ADA, MAAB, FHA and other applicable Codes
  • Have solid construction administration experience and knowledge of construction methods
  • In-process MA architectural registration
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus
  • Strong graphic design sensibility and technical proficiency is a plus
