DREAM is both developer and architect for 40 new residential units for residents 55+ in Andover, MA. Located on two currently empty lots, the site is located with easy distance to both Andover and Ballardvale’s downtown , I-93 and commuter rail services while being surrounded by permanently protected conservation land. This project is aligned with the Town’s goals around aging-in-place, economic equity, and neighborhood stabilization.
The project will provide 40 new residential units for residents 55+, with a mix of one-and two-bedroom units. Key features of the project will include energy efficiency, sustainability, minimum maintenance, elevators and underground parking, and an on-site exercise room.
10 units will be set aside for those whose income does not exceed 80% AMI, which will allow local residents to remain in their community. The modern units will be designed with aging-in-place features, with all of the units being handicap accessible.
