DREAM collaborated with Massachusetts Bay Community College (MassBay) on a house doctor contract for building renovations, repairs and upgrades to their Wellesley Hills campus, which includes 218,000 square feet of buildings with construction dates ranging from 1919-1994. Our scope of work includes replacement, modification, or upgrade of existing buildings or rooms and systems for a variety of building types including classrooms, science laboratories, offices and public assembly spaces.
As part of our contract, we performed an extensive window study that included three combined buildings dating from 1920, a 1952 addition and a 1963 addition. The buildings are each five floors connected via two elevators and five sets of stairs. Our team performed a thorough survey of each elevation and window type. We provided a narrative summary of observations by window type accompanied by annotated photo elevations, photo documentation for each window, detailed description of issues observed, and the hazardous building materials testing report from our engineering partner.
