Wynn Resort Everett
DREAM Collaborative has partnered with executive architect Jacobs on the design development, construction documents, and construction administration phases for the retail and entertainment podium on the ground level and second floor, and a 3-level, 1.5 million sf below-grade parking garage to accommodate 3,000 cars that will serve the new Wynn Resort and Casino in Everett.
The project comprises the construction of approximately 3 million sf of integrated resort casino including over 600 keys of high luxury hotel guestrooms in a 350 foot tower and 210,000 sf gaming facility. The gaming facility is expected to include 3,200 slot machines and 160 gaming tables. The guestroom hotel will offer the largest average room sizes in the luxury hotel market in the Boston region with standard room size greater than 600 sf. Other features include retail spaces, food and beverage services, multiple restaurants and bars, convention and meeting spaces, spa and health club, and a dramatic four season atrium garden entrance lobby. The project also includes support spaces in both the front of house and the back of house critical to the daily operations of a complex of this size. Below the casino and hotel tower will be three levels of parking for approx. 3,000 cars that are both self-parked and valeted.
Extensive outdoor landscape and open space amenities are an integral component of the project. Waterfront features include: a harborwalk with planned off-site connections to the extensive public open space network along the Mystic River, overlooks to view restored coastal bank vegetation and salt marsh, a large open events area with entertainment, gathering, and seating areas as well as water transportation and transient vessel docking facilities. Off-site improvements and amenities include the extension of the Harborwalk to the OCR Gateway park as well as transportation, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.
The 34-acre site, located on Horizon Way off Lower Broadway (Rt 99) in Everett, was previously part of the Monsanto chemical manufacturing facility.
Construction is expected to begin in 2016 with a grand opening targeted for 2018.
